Concrete Reinforcement

Concrete Reinforcement

Steel and polypropylene fibres supplied to the engineer's nominated specification.

The problem

Concrete elements require reinforcement against cracking or for designed load capacity.

Fibre reinforcement is nominated as part of the element design.

Typical applications

  • Ground-bearing and suspended slabs
  • Sprayed concrete in tunnelling and mining
  • Industrial floors and precast elements

Selection considerations

  • The fibre type, geometry and dosage nominated by the project engineer
  • Mixing, dispersion and placement control on site
  • Finishing method and its effect on the surface

Key limitations

  • Ozone supplies to a nominated specification and does not design the reinforcement.
  • Structural performance is a function of the concrete element design, not the fibre alone.

Discuss Your Project

Product selection, specification and system build-up should be confirmed with Ozone for each specific project before ordering or installation.

Send us the substrate, exposure and build-up and we will confirm the system and issue the current documentation.
