The problem
Water needs to be kept out of, or contained within, a structure over the life of the asset.
The waterproofing layer is one part of a build-up that also includes preparation, priming, detailing at junctions and penetrations, and the protection or wearing layer above it.

- •Whether the finished membrane is concealed, exposed or trafficked in service
- •Expected substrate movement and the detailing required at joints and penetrations
- •The protection, screed or wearing layer that follows the membrane
