Waterproofing

Waterproofing

Sheet and liquid systems for concealed and approved exposed waterproofing.

The problem

Water needs to be kept out of, or contained within, a structure over the life of the asset.

The waterproofing layer is one part of a build-up that also includes preparation, priming, detailing at junctions and penetrations, and the protection or wearing layer above it.

Typical applications

  • Internal wet areas beneath tiled or screeded finishes
  • Balconies, terraces and podium decks with a specified protection layer
  • Rooftops and planter boxes
  • Below-ground and retaining structures
  • Water-retaining and water-excluding infrastructure elements

Selection considerations

  • Substrate type, condition and moisture state at the time of application
  • Whether the finished membrane is concealed, exposed or trafficked in service
  • Expected substrate movement and the detailing required at joints and penetrations
  • The protection, screed or wearing layer that follows the membrane

Key limitations

  • Waterproofing membranes supplied by Ozone are not wearing surfaces unless a separate trafficable layer is specified above them.
  • A membrane performs as part of the complete specified build-up. Changing any layer changes the outcome.

Discuss Your Project

Product selection, specification and system build-up should be confirmed with Ozone for each specific project before ordering or installation.

Send us the substrate, exposure and build-up and we will confirm the system and issue the current documentation.
